This Model 70 came from the Winchester Custom Shop in 2004 as part of the North American Game Series, one of a limited run of 125 in .270 WSM, serial 270SM029. The 24-inch round barrel and metal carry a high-polish blue, the receiver and bottom metal are engraved with silver and gold inlay, and the bolt is jeweled. The hand-checkered black walnut stock has deluxe checkering, Super Grade inlet sling studs, an engraved cross bolt, a pistol grip cap and the original recoil pad. Near excellent with a few very small handling marks, excellent bore.

Many Texas buyers will treat a 125-gun Custom Shop rifle as a safe queen, but .270 WSM is centerfire and the rifle is legal for Texas deer during the 2026-27 general season, November 7 through January 3 in the North Zone and January 17 in the South Zone. The engraving and figured walnut make it a rifle for a special hunt rather than a brush gun. Check county rules in the Outdoor Annual.
