The Hi-Point 4595TS Pro is a .45 ACP semi-automatic carbine with a 17.5-inch barrel threaded .578x28, 32 inches overall, and a weight of 7 pounds. The barrel is rated for factory +P loads. The all-weather skeletonized polymer stock in blue/black carries Picatinny rails for accessories, the rear peep and front post sights are fully adjustable, and the action has a manual thumb safety, last-round hold-open and an internal recoil buffer. One 9-round magazine is included, the same type used in compatible Hi-Point .45 pistols.

A pistol-caliber carbine like this covers a Texas property owner's range plinking and close-in defense with the same ammunition as a .45 handgun. Because it fires a centerfire cartridge it falls within the TPWD rule for deer and can be used on feral hogs, which have no closed season or bag limit, though its practical reach is short-range work. Set the peep sight once and it holds.
