A Steyr Tactical HB in .308 Winchester: a magazine-fed bolt-action rifle with a 20-inch heavy barrel that is threaded at the muzzle. The stock is synthetic and the bolt wears an oversized knob for fast cycling with gloves or from the shoulder. The supplier rates the overall condition very good.

For a Texas rifleman the .308 covers both deer during the general season, which runs from November 7, 2026 to January 3, 2027 in the North Zone and January 17 in the South Zone, and feral hogs year-round with no bag limit. The heavy 20-inch barrel is built for steady groups from a rest rather than for carrying all day, so think of it as a stand or truck rifle with a magazine to reload fast. Check the TPWD Outdoor Annual for your county before you go.
