A Remington 700 VSSF in 22-250, serial C6858386, from modern production. The bolt-action rifle carries a 26-inch medium-contour fluted barrel with a matte blue finish and a jeweled bolt, set into a black and gray web synthetic stock. A Leupold VX-III 6.5-20 scope is already mounted. The bore is excellent and the overall condition very good.

This is a rifle for a Texas shooter who wants to reach out. The 26-inch barrel and the 6.5-20 Leupold are set up for long shots from a rest, which makes it a natural for feral hogs across open pasture, where there is no closed season and no bag limit. The 22-250 is a centerfire cartridge, so it is legal for deer under TPWD rules, though most owners keep it for hogs, varmints and the bench. Check the Outdoor Annual for county-specific limits.
