A third-generation Colt Single Action Army chambered in .45 Colt, serial S55972A, produced in 2008. It carries the 4.75-inch barrel, a nickel finish and black grips. The supplier notes light wear overall with some pitting on the hammer, reports that the revolver has had a good action job, and grades it very good with its original box. Condition is listed as used.

Texas asks for no purchase permit, no registration and no state waiting period on a handgun, so the only steps between you and this Colt are a valid photo ID, the ATF Form 4473 and the federal NICS check at the dealer counter. The federal minimum age at a dealer is 21 for a handgun. A 4.75-inch single-action in .45 Colt with a tuned action is a range and collector's revolver first: the nickel finish and black grips, the pitting on the hammer and the original box are the details to weigh against other third-generation examples.
