Texas Ranger Owned Usfa Gunslinger Artillery Revolver .45 Colt

A USFA Gunslinger in .45 Colt, serial 6617, built around 2005 as a third-generation reproduction of the Artillery-style single action with a 7.5-inch barrel. The aged blue finish has been antiqued on purpose, the black powder frame carries U.S. markings, and the sights are a square blade front with a square notch rear over wood grips. The bore is bright with very good rifling and the gun grades excellent, with factory box, manual, spec papers and the purchase invoice.

The Texas connection is the provenance. It was part of the collection of Ron C. Stewart, an Army veteran who graduated from the DPS Academy in 1970, worked as a highway patrolman and undercover narcotics agent, then served as a Texas Ranger from 1980 in Central Texas and later in the Big Bend country through 1995. He went on to work as a special deputy U.S. Marshal and a firearms instructor. For a Texas cowboy action collector that paperwork is the point.
