This Colt Diamondback is a double-action revolver in .38 Special, built in 1976 and carrying serial D97362. The 4-inch barrel wears a ventilated rib and the bore is bright with excellent rifling. The original blue finish rates very good overall, with wear concentrated at the muzzle and on the trigger guard. Checkered walnut grips are in excellent shape. It is sold used under SKU L2025-08868 as one of Colt's snake-named revolvers.

For a Texas owner this is a revolver that can still earn range time while holding collector interest. A 4-inch .38 Special with a vent rib is comfortable for home defense and manageable for newer shooters, and a Texas purchase needs no permit, registration or state wait, so the dealer transfer is the only step between order and ownership. Buyers who track Diamondback production will note the 1976 date and the honest finish wear.
