A Colt Bisley flat-top target revolver in .32 WCF, documented by a factory letter that records shipment to the M. Hartley Company in New York in 1903. The gun keeps 95 to 97 percent of its original blue and the grips are excellent. The action works perfectly, and the supplier states that the letter describes the gun exactly as it appears today, with overall condition excellent.

Flat-top target Bisleys are a small corner of Colt collecting, and a lettered example in this condition is what a serious Texas Colt collector waits for. The .32 WCF chambering and the target configuration mark it as a competition gun of its era rather than a holster revolver. Treat it as a cabinet piece: the original finish and the factory letter carry its value, and both are easy to lose with casual use.
