This shin-shinto tanto carries a 13.5-inch blade that is in polish and shows a suguha hamon. The tang is mumei, meaning it is unsigned. The blade is mounted with shakudo fittings that the supplier describes as a very nice set. It is catalogued under Japanese swords as SKU 76066 and sold used, as all antique blades are.

A short blade in full mounts with shakudo furniture is a compact piece for a Texas collector who wants a tanto that can be displayed as a complete unit rather than as a bare blade in storage mounts. The straight suguha hamon shows clearly in the current polish, and the absence of a signature is stated outright so the buyer weighs the blade on its workmanship and mounts. Overall size makes it easy to place in a small cabinet or on a single stand.
