This is a U.S. World War II-era M1910 canteen cover of the insulated, lift-the-dot type, in the transitional mid-war Olive Drab Shade 3 color. The supplier rates it in very good condition. It is listed under canteens as SKU MM3470 and sold used, as original field gear is. The cover only is offered; no canteen or cup is mentioned in the listing.

Shade 3 covers from the middle of the war fill a specific slot for a Texas collector or reenactor who wants the transitional color rather than the earlier or later shades. The lift-the-dot closure and the insulated body are the pattern details to confirm in the photographs. In very good condition it can be worn on a belt for living-history use or kept flat in a display of individual equipment. Keep it dry to preserve the color.
