This is a box of nine Winchester 45/70 centerfire cartridges with solid heads, marked for target use. The catalogue lists it under accessories, scopes and ammo as SKU AM573 with Winchester as the manufacturer, and it is sold used, which is how vintage cartridge boxes are graded. Nine rounds are present rather than a full count, and the supplier gives no further detail on the box condition.

A partial Winchester target box in 45/70 is a cartridge-collector item for a Texas buyer rather than hunting ammunition. The solid-head construction and the target-use marking are the details that identify the box on a shelf, and the nine remaining rounds let a collector display both the carton and the cartridge. Anyone who shoots a 45/70 rifle should regard these as period pieces and keep them with the box rather than mixing them into current stock.
