A Remington 11-48 semi-auto field shotgun in 12 gauge, serial 5050243, made in 1951. The 26-inch round barrel is fitted with a Poly Choke and is chambered for 2 3/4-inch or shorter shells. The bore is excellent. The metal is blued and the forend and stock are checkered wood with a 14.25-inch length of pull.

Condition is very good for its age: the finish shows light marks and some minor pitting, and the stock has light marks of its own. For a Texas hunter this is a working field gun. A 12-gauge shotgun is legal for deer under TPWD rules, so it can go out during the general season that opens November 7, 2026, and feral hogs have no closed season and no bag limit. The adjustable Poly Choke lets you tighten or open the pattern without carrying extra tubes.
